Two Notorious Drug Smugglers Sent Kot Bhalwal Jail: Baramulla Police

Baramulla: Two notorious drug smugglers in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district were lodged in the Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, said police on Saturday.

As per the news agency CNS, police said that both drug smugglers were booked under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 (PIT-NDPS Act).

After being booked under PIT-NDPS Act, the duo was lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu, they said.

The notorious drug smugglers have been identified as Irshad Wani, a resident of Pandith Pora Tangmarg and Tajamul Masoodi, a resident of Pampore.

Baramulla police have been relentless in their pursuit to book the notorious drug smugglers under the PIT-NDPS Act, a law under which a preventive detention for one year without bail is possible.
