Mumbai: The rupee on Wednesday gained four paise at 83.01 against USD on the sale of the US dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

The rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 82.98 and 83.04, respectively, the dealer added.
