5.0-magnitude quake hits 72 km NW of Tamarindo, Costa Rica

Washington:  An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 72 km northwest of Tamarindo, Costa Rica, at 0347 GMT on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

The epicentre, with a depth of 11.4 km, was initially determined to be at 10.68 degrees north latitude and 86.38 degrees west longitude.
