KU V-C flags off snow skiing contingent

Srinagar: Vice-Chancellor of University of Kashmir Prof Nilofer Khan today flagged off a Skii contingent for a snow skiing course to be held at Gulmarg.

The course for both boys and girls is being organised by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports in which students from Kashmir University and its affiliated colleges will be participating. The course aims to train the participants to learn the snow skiing skills, in basic, intermediate and advanced level.
While addressing the gathering, Prof Nilofer Khan highlighted the importance of adventure sports and how it can lead towards the overall personality development. She further passed on best wishes to all the participants for the course.
Director, Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, Dr Mandeep Singh briefed the Honble Vice-Chancellor about the course.
The other Guests who were present on the ocassion include Worthy Registrar of University of Kashmir Dr Naseer Iqbal, Dr Ashfaq Zarri Special Secretary to Honble Vice Chancellor, Chief Proctor Dr Imtiyaz and Mr Shamas DSP, JKP.
Dr Harbinder Singh Hockey Coach and Ms Surjit Kaur Sports Assistant are accompanying the contingent.Mr. Sheikh Adil, Gymnasium Coach DPE&S K.U conducted the proceedings of the Event.
