Woman Suffered Splinter Injuries While Working Near Firing Butt, No Terror-link Found: SSP Reasi

Reasi : A woman suffered injuries while working near a firing post in Reasi, the SSP concerned Mohita Sharma said while refuting the rumours attributing the incident to some terror-related act.

“An information was received at police station Arnas that one lady  namely Sita Devi (38) wife of Prabhu Dayal of Khudri Chinkah Tehsil Thakrakote sustained splinter-like injury when she went near firing butt Rudd Pull for cutting grass,” the SSP Reasi Mohita Sharma told news agency Kashmir Scroll.

“A team of PS Arnas visited the spot and shifted the injured lady to DH Reasi. Preliminary inquiry rules out it being a terror-like incident of any sort,” she said.

“Further investigation is set in motion.”

“It is further appealed to the people to stay away from rumour mongering and any person found involved in creating fake news or incidents will be dealt strictly under relevant laws,” the police officer said further.
