Property of another drug peddler attached in J&K’s Samba

Jammu: In yet another major initiative, police along with administration have attached property of another drug peddler in Vijaypur tehsil of Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Vinay Kumar said that yet another property has been attached belonging to notorious drug peddler namely Masoom Ali alias Kala, resident of Rakh Barotian, Tehsil Vijaypur, District Samba.
The attached property is a residential house worth 32 lakhs, he said.
The top cop said that the action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F of NDPS Act of 1985 and is linked with several cases.
“The Property was identified as Illegally Acquired Property during the course of investigation and enquiry conducted by Vijaypur Police,” he said.
The SSP said that the property was prima facia acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the drug peddler.
Notably, on Monday also, one such residential house was attached by Samba Police as an action again drug dealers.
“Such back to back operations reaffirms the commitment of Police to combat the drug menace. Local people of the area hailed this unprecedented initiative of Police against drug dealers,” he added.
