SIU Srinagar Produces Chargesheet Against Active Militant, Militant Associate In NIA Court Srinagar

Srinagar: Special Investigation Unit of J&K Police on Monday produced chargesheet Against an active militant and a militant associate here in NIA court at Srinagar

In a handout to GNS, the police said that its SIU unit Srinagar produced chargesheet against 02 accused persons including an active absconding local terrorist in case FIR No. 37/2023 in the Hon’ble Court of NIA Srinagar.

The police spokesman further stated that today, the chargesheet bearing No. 02/2024 of case FIR No. 37/2023 under section 4/5 Exp. Sub Act, 13, 18, 20, 23, 38, 39 UA (P) Act of Police Station Kothibagh Srinagar stands presented before the Hon’ble Court of NIA Srinagar against two accused persons namely Mohd Rangrez son of Ab Rashid Rangrez resident of Firdousabad Batamaloo (terrorist associate) who is presently on judicial custody remand at Central Jail Srinagar and another Momin Gulzar Mir son of Gulzar Ahmad Mir resident of Firdous Colony Eidgah Srinagar, who is an active absconding ‘A’ category local terrorist regarding whom the Hon’ble Court is prayed to take cognizance under section 299 CrPC accordingly.

The next date of hearing is fixed on 16-03-2024, reads the statement.
