Four gamblers arrested in Ganderbal: Police

Ganderbal: To eradicate severe menace of Social Crimes from the society; Ganderbal Police apprehended four Gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal & Seized Stake money and Playing Cards from their possession.

A Police spokesperson said, “On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta-IPS, Police Party headed by SHO PS Ganderbal Inspector Manzoor Ahmad under the supervision of Gh Hassan-JKPS Hqr’s Ganderbal apprehended 04 Gamblers in the orchards of village Serch Bala & stake money Rs.6500/- & playing cards recovered & seized from their possession.”

” The accused have been arrested & put behind the bars who disclosed their identities as; Javid Ahmad Sheikh S/O Ghulam Qadir Sheikh R/O Badergund, Mehraj Ud Din Shoda S/O Ghulam Mohammad Shoda R/O Badergund, Arbaz Ahmad Dar S/O Bashir Ahmad Dar R/O Shahpora & Mehraj Din Bhat S/O Mohammad Amin Bhat R/O Shahpora”, he said.

He said that in this regard Case FIR No. 32/2024, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation will be taken up.
