Chandoosa, Feb 18: In a public meeting held in Chandoosa and adjoining areas of kandi on Saturday, X MLA and President of DPAP Baramulla district, Shoaib Lone, demanded the government to grant Tehsil and block status to Chandoosa(kandi area of Baramulla ) He said that Chandoosa is the central place for the entire Kandi region and deserves better administrative facilities.
Lone said that the people of Chandoosa and the surrounding areas have been facing many problems due to the lack of a Tehsil and a block office. He said that the people have to travel long distances to access basic services such as revenue, education, health, and agriculture. He said that the creation of a Tehsil and a block in Chandoosa would ease the hardships of the people and boost the development of the area.
Lone also criticized the previous governments for neglecting the demands of the people of Chandoosa and the Kandi belt. He said that the DPAP is committed to raising the voice of the people and ensuring their rights. He appealed to the government to fulfill the long-pending demand of the people and announce a Tehsil and a block for Chandoosa at the earliest.
