Srinagar : Minister of State for Women and Child Development Munjapara Mahendrabhai handed over appointment letters to 19 candidates here on Monday.
The appointment letters were handed out under the “Rozgar Mela,” and more than one lakh offers of appointments across various regional centers were handed over to the newly inducted candidates.
The “Rozgar Mela” was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, by the Headquarters of BSF Kashmir Frontier Campus Humhama.
The appointment letters here were handed over to 19 candidates hailing from J&K and five from other states, who will infuse the flow of young blood with an energetic and analytic mind in various origins like the Central Armed Police Forces, Central University Kashmir, the Postal Department, and the Income Tax Department, a spokesman for the BSF said.
During the function, Inspector General, BSF Kashmir, Ashok Yadav, was apprised about the sensitivity of the border under the Kashmir Frontier and how BSF has been effectively dealing with the challenges on the Line of Control along with the Army, CAPF, and aiding civil authorities.
Further, IG BSF Kashmir applauded the role of civil society for the overall growth and harmonious environment in the region.
During the event, MoS Mahendrabhai apprised the audience about the recruitment drive launched by the Government of India by filling vacancies against sanctioned posts in a mission mode through recruitment agencies.
He also reiterated that “Rozgar Mela” was an important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s continued commitment to provide employment opportunities to the youth and ensure the welfare of society.
