Have nothing to do with neighboring country, but concerned how democracy to flourish in my own country: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari Saturday while reacting to the post-poll uncertainty in Pakistan, saying I have nothing to do about what happens in the neighboring country, rather I am much concerned about how to flourish democracy in my own country, India.

“India is my country, and I am concerned about how democracy will flourish here. I have nothing to do with neighboring countries. How things are going on there, that is not my job. It is India who can take a call on the situation whenever required,” Bukhari as per KNS told reporters on the sidelines of a joining ceremony of several political activists in Srinagar.

He said Apni Party has been formed with an aim to bring out people from quagmire of uncertainty and efforts in this regard are on to ease out the sufferings of people. “I am happy to see people with each passing day are joining the Apni Party. This shows our commitment and public faith,” he said.

He reiterated that the doors of Apni Party are open for everyone as the party represents every section of the society. “We represent every section of Jammu and Kashmir. Our doors are open for everyone who believes J&K is an integral part of India,” he added.

Notably several political workers and activists from different political outfits and ideologies joined the Apni Party at the occasion.
