Two minutes silence observed at all police establishments across the UT to remember supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters  

DGP J&K led officers and personnel at Police headquarters Jammu in silence observance ceremony

Jammu: To commemorate the supreme sacrifices of the heroes who laid down their lives in the struggle for the country’s freedom, a two minutes silence was observed at all police establishments across the UT.

The main function was held at Police Headquarters J&K here in which Director General of Police, J&K, R.R Swain led the officers and personnel to observe two-minutes silence aimed to commemorate martyrs’ day and pay tributes to the heroes who laid down their lives in the struggle for the country’s freedom.

ADGP Armed J&K S.J.M Gillani, ADGP (Headquarters) PHQ M.K Sinha, ADGP Law & Order Vijay Kumar, IGP Armed Jammu M.N Tiwari, IGP (Hqrs) PHQ  B.S Tuti, AIsG of Police Headquarters, senior officers of Armed Police headquarters, / Telecommunication, staff members of the complex attended the silence observing ceremony.

The day was observed at all wings, units of Jammu and Kashmir Police wherein concerned police heads led the officers and Jawans to observe two-minute silence in the memory of those who laid down their lives in the struggle for the country’s freedom.
