Police arrests 4 drug peddlers including non local in Baramulla,Contraband substances recovered
Baramulla : Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 4 drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Post Delina headed by IC PP Delina at a checkpoint established at Juhama-Kanispora, intercepted one persons. During their search, 14 grams of Brown Sugar like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He was identified as Arhan Khan son of Iftikhar Khan resident of Gaukhana Kadim Uttar Pradesh at present Kanthbagh Baramulla. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla were he remained in custody.
Similarly, A police party of Police Post Mirgund headed by IC PP Mirgund at a checkpoint established at Jheel Bund Pattan, intercepted one vehicle Scorpio bearing registration DL10CT-1577 in which three persons were boarded. During the search, 28 grams of Brown Sugar like contraband substance was recovered from their possession. They were identified as Zubair Ahmad Sheikh son of Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh resident of Lawaypora Srinagar, Imran Hussain Malla son of Gh Mohammad Malla resident of Yakhmanpora & Mohd Amin Waza son of Manzoor Ahmad Waza resident of Shahtulpora Sumbal. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Pattan were they remained in custody.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Baramulla & Pattan and investigations have been initiated.
