Forces launch CASO in Poonch areas

Poonch: Security forces on Saturday have launched Cordon & Search Operation (CASO) in several areas of Poonch district, officials said.

They said that contingents of Army, J&K Police and CRPF laid cordon in several areas of Poonch district after receiving inputs about suspicious movement of terrorists in the area.

They said all exit and entry points have been sealed off and searches underway.
The district witnessed massive tension in December last year when terrorists ambushed an army vehicle that led to the killing of 4 army personnel and 3 others injured.

Following the incident the forces laid massive searches in wooden areas of the district to nab the attackers.
