CS releases heritage calendar of Radio Sharda

Jammu: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo today released the calendar of Radio Sharda, 90.4 FM devoted for promotion of local culture and traditions here.

On the occasion the Chief Secretary maintained that the LG administration is committed to the preservation, promotion and popularization of the local culture and its values. He also applauded the role of the society that is running this FM Radio here which is helpful in transferring the old rich culture from one generation to another.

The society ‘Pir Panchal’ that is owning this station also felicitated Chief Secretary for assuming this highest seat of administration here. They also apprised him about the role the society is playing besides the popularityof Radio Sharda among the displaced Kashmiri Panditshere in Jammu.

It is worthwhile to mention here that this year’s calender has a theme based on the ancient heritage temple of ShardaMandir at Teetwal in district Kupwara located close to the Line of control (LoC) in Kashmir.
