Baramulla: A driver was arrested in north Kashmir Baramulla district’s Saloosa Kreeri area in connection with an illegal mining of minerals, said police on Thursday.

As per the news agency CNS, police said that they have arrested the driver for engaging in illegal extraction of minerals at Saloosa Kreeri and seized a tractor in connection with the act.

In this regard, police also registered a case FIR number 01/2024 under relevant sections of law at the Police Station Kreeri.

“Illegal mining of minerals at Saloosa Kreeri Baramulla; Police seizes 1 tractor; Arrests 1 driver,” said Baramulla Police in a post on X.
