VBSY Van continues to spread PM’s message among residents of Ganderbal town

DDC presides over mega event at Qamaria Park

Ganderbal: The Municipal Council Ganderbal (MCG) continues to remain committed to fostering community development, as demonstrated by the successful extension of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) to four more wards of the council.

The main event was held in Qamaria Park Ganderbal which was presided over by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir and participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra proceedings, inspecting departmental stalls showcasing citizen centric beneficiary schemes.

The participants welcomed VBSY Van with much enthusiasm and watched screening of Prime Minister’s message and other movies aiming at awareness generation on Central Government’s initiatives for public welfare.

During the Yatra, the beneficiaries shared success stories concerning various prevailing Central Sector Schemes during the “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” session, a series of activities including cultural events, singing of Swacchta song and other related programmes were held.

Representatives of the line departments explained the various schemes and programmes run by the government for the public welfare besides, they also distributed pamphlets and brochures to the people and answered their queries.

Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that under the nationwide outreach initiative aimed at informing and empowering citizens about the Centre’s flagship scheme district administration has attained saturation under various CSSs and urged all stakeholders to actively embrace their responsibilities, emphasizing the realization of the vision for a Developed India by 2047.

The event at Qamaria Ground was orchestrated to extensively disseminate awareness about CSS aligning with the spirit of VBSY under the management of the Department of Rural Development &Panchayati Raj in collaboration with Municipal Council Ganderbal. The programme culminated with the commitment for realizing the vision of Developed India.

Meanwhile, the DDC distributed felicitation certificates among Sanitation workers for their exemplary work.
