Sensex gains 89 pts

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Thursday rallied 89 pts at 66,112.50 in opening session as buying was seen across the board.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 50.05 pts at 19,861.90.

The NSE posted intra days high and low at 19,875.15 and 19,825.20 pts respectively.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 66,235.24 and 66,067.39 pts respectively.

The Mid Cap gained 0.20 pc and Small Cap by 0.61 pc.

In 30 scrips, 11 advanced while 19 declined.

The gainers were Nestle India Ltd by 0.85 pc to be 24,552.15, IndusInd Bank by 0.84 pc to Rs 1482.90, Wipro by 0.70 pc to Rs 403, M & M by 0.67 pc to Rs 1553.70 and Asian Paints by 0.59 pc to Rs 3151.20.

The losers were Ultracemco by 0.80 pc to Rs 8690.20, Tech Mahindra by 0.32 pc to Rs 1211.40 and Hind Unilever by 0.30 pc to Rs 2514.05.
