Govt seriously considering winter vacations, formal announcement to be made in a day or two: Div Com Kmr Bidhuri

Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Wednesday said that the Government is seriously considering winter vacations and a formal announcement in this regard will be made in a day or two.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri said the government is seriously considering winter vacations for schools and in a day or two formal announcement will be made.

He said vacations will be first announced for primary schools, then middle and higher schools. He said it is easy for us to announce vacations but we have to look at other aspects as well, we don’t want the academic calendar of students to suffer, so keeping all aspects in mind vacations will be announced accordingly.

“We have already submitted a proposal to higher authorities in this regard,” he added.
