Grievances Taken Up During Public Meetings’ Will Be Taken Up for Prompt Redressal: DGP R.R Swain

Srinagar: Days after announcing to meet the public delegations, twice a month, Director General of Police R.R Swain remarked the grievances taken up during interactions will be taken up with relevant offices for a prompt redressal.

Addressing a presser, he said “It has been a new initiative and I have been unsure about how it will fare out.”

“It (meeting) has a value to connect with the public and I feel it will have substantive results and will help us in addressing the issues from within and outside the department”, Swain said.

“We will see where we can refine the things to ensure that all the grievances be taken up will taken up with relevant offices for a prompt resdressal”, the recently posted DGP said adding more importantly these meetings’ will help us to do away with the issues within the Police department.

Notably, the newly posted R R Swain announced to hold two-hour public grievance meetings twice every month in Srinagar.
