J&K Govt Constitutes TAC for Integrated Traffic Management System in UT

Srinagar : Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the constitution of the Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) for the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) in the Union Territory.

According to an order, a copy of which lies with news agency Kashmir Scroll reads “In terms of S.O 277 dated 09.07.2021 of Finance Department, sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of the Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) comprising the following, for the project “Selection of System Integrators (SI) for design, supply, installation, commission and maintenance of Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for Integrated Traffic Management System.”

The Technical Appraisal Committee (TAC) will have Mohammad Saleem Khan State Informatics Officer, NIC, J&K as its chairman and include three members and one member-cum-coordinator viz Shameem Khan I/C Director NIELET; Representative of IIT Jammu (to be nominated by Director, IIT Jammu); Representative of University of Jammu (to be nominated by the head of the department of Computer Sciences and Information Technology) and Munish Pandhoh, Technical Officer, Information Technology Department, reads the order.

“The committee shall provide technical vetting of the RFP and give recommendations regarding the provisions proposed in the RFP. It shall also give its recommendations/suggestions on the viability of the proposed solutions in the RFP and shall ensure strict compliance to all the rules, procedures/guidelines issued by government from time to time while vetting the RFP, ” it reads.
