Police Organised Drug Awareness Seminar at Govt. Higher Secondary School Wakura

Ganderbal: Under the Civic Action Program; on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar (IPS), Ganderbal Police today organised a Seminar/Drug Awareness Programme at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Wakura under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal  Gh Hassan JKPS in which Doctors, Teachers, PRIs, respectable Citizens, Community Members, Majid Imams, Social Activists & Students participated with huge enthusiasm.

While speaking on the onset of the Seminar, Sobiya Shabir, Social Worker Special Cell for Women PS Kheer Bhawani and Students of various Schools delivered lectures about the catastrophic causes and consequences of Drug Menace. The Panel of Doctors present in the Seminar also appraised the audience with psychological and social aspects of Drug Addiction. They talked about Socio-economic, Physiological and Psychological causes & its preventive measures. The PRIs, teachers, religious Scholars also threw light on this sensitive issue and  the audience present in the seminar were encouraged to adopt positive approaches in eliminating Drug Abuse from the society.

Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal also talked about the burning issue of Drug Addiction. He encouraged the participants to refrain from this severe menace & stated that Ganderbal Police is always on toes to eradicate Drug menace and ready to help the youth in promoting sports & games. At the conclusion of the Seminar, Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Gh Hassan distributed momentos among the Speakers & presented vote of thanks.
