Mobile Internet Suspended In South Kashmir’s Pulwama

Srinagar,The mobile internet has been stopped in some areas of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir due to security concerns, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

Vijay Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Kashmir Zone, issued directives to Telecom Service Providers to suspend mobile data services in the Wampora and Hunipora regions of the southern Kashmir district.

The ADGP’s order reads that the potential misuse of mobile data services by anti-national elements, which could lead to a deterioration in public order.

Telecom Service Providers were instructed to cease mobile data services within a three-kilometre radius of these areas, commencing from 7 pm on November 5 and concluding at 7 pm on November 8.
