DC B’la chairs DRAC meeting; approves 25 rent assessment cases

Baramulla: A District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today approved 25 rent cases pertaining to the district.

The rent cases pertaining to Agriculture, Education, FCS&CA, and Horticulture besides others were approved by the committee. The Committee discussed the fixation of rent of various structures in which various government offices are functioning across the district.

41 cases were taken up for discussion in the meeting, out of which 25 cases were approved.

Addressing the meeting, the DC asked the officers to pay rent to the concerned owners of land and structures on time and ensure the safety of the government/rented accommodation. She further asked the intending authorities to pay the approved rent along with the arrear after the title verification certificate is issued from the concerned Tehsildar.

The meeting was attended by Director Planning, M Yousuf Rather; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad; Superintending Engineer R&B, Reyaz Ahmad Parry; Agriculture officer besides other concerned officers of various departments.
