Dozens of students fall unconscious during self-defense event in Handwara

Handwara : A dozen students falling unconscious at a Government school in north Kashmir’s Handwara village on Thursday sources said.

Reliable sources told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the incident occurred during a self-defense event at the school, where pepper spray was employed, resulting in the incident.

Upon the students losing consciousness, prompt action was taken, and all the affected female students were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for necessary medical attention.

School authorities, in conversation with News Agency Kashmir Scroll, expressed their concerns and assured that an investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the unfortunate incident.

While suspicions have been raised regarding the possible involvement of some of the girls in this incident, it is important to note that the investigation is currently ongoing and the facts surrounding the event will be established through due process they added.

A police officer informed News Agency Kashmir Scroll that a case has already been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigations have commenced to ascertain the sequence of events and hold any responsible parties accountable.
