Srinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) North Wing on Monday organised an awareness programme in the Uri area of Baramulla district under the Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2023.
The awareness programme was conducted in Chandanwari, Uri in which BDC and Panchayat members of several blocks including Bijhama, Noorkha and Boniyar took their part.
The participants exchanged their ideas regarding perils of corruption and measures to combat this menace. They also took the pledge of abstaining from giving and taking bribes in any forms.
Meanwhile, the role of civil societies in the eradication of corruption was highlighted by the speakers. They underscored the fallout of the corruption and explained all forms of it, widely spreading in the society.
On the occasion, the pledge of integrity was administered to all participants. It is pertinent to mention that the Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed throughout India from 30th Oct to 5th Nov.
