LG Sinha Attends PEMA Awards Ceremony, Felicitates Awardees

Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Singh on Friday attended the Pashmina Exporters Manufacturers Association (PEMA) awards ceremony and felicitated the awardees.

LG Sinha, on the occasion, expressed his confidence in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s launched scheme — Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme. He said that the scheme would transform the lives of J&K’s artisans and other craftspersons.

 

“Attended the Pashmina Exporters Manufacturers Association (PEMA) Awards ceremony earlier today. Congratulations to those who have been conferred with this prestigious award. Commended the PEMA for its immense contribution in promotion of Pashmina products,” said LG in a post on X.

PM Vishwakarma Scheme will transform lives of our artisans, craftspeople engaged in 18 identified trades, he said.

“J&K Admin will also ensure an increased number of stalls and shops during exhibition at Pragati Maidan to provide them enhanced marketing opportunity & access to the global market,” added LG Sinha.
