Rail connectivity between Kashmir to Katra will prove beneficial for entire country: MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah
Srinagar: National Conference President and MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah Thursday said that rail connectivity between Kashmir and Katra will be beneficial for the entire country.
“When Kashmir rail will be connected with Katra it will be beneficial for us and people of the entire country as everyone will be able to travel without any inconvenience,” Dr. Farooq Abdullah as per KNS said.
He said we know the highway gets shut during inclement weather so railway connectivity will be a major boost for J&K. “The new coach which was inaugurated today will also be beneficial for locals as railway travel is cheaper than road travel”, he said.
Replying to a query, Dr Farooq Abdullah said that he will take up the fare issue with the Union Ministry of Railways and try to resolve it for the larger interest of common people so that every one will board in the coach and enjoy the travel and scenic beauty of Kashmir.
