Traffic Movement Restored on NH-44; SSG Road Through, Mughal Road Closed

Srinagar: After a likely landslide at Dalwas area on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway, traffic movement was restored on the NH-44, said the J&K Traffic Police on Wednesday.

J&K Traffic Police posted on X that the traffic movement has been restored on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. “Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline and drive carefully. Overtaking can lead to congestion and inconvenience to all,” it added.

Due to the likely landslide at Dalwas on NH-44, the J&K Traffic Police earlier said that the man and machinery are on job at the spot. After the closure of Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road due to a snowfall, the thoroughfare was thrown open for vehicular movement.

It was also added that the Mughal road is still closed due to a snow accumulation.
