President Murmu arrives in Srinagar for 2-day J&K visit

Srinagar  : Amid heightened security measures, President Draupadi Murmu on Wednesday arrived in Srinagar for a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post on X, LG Sinha wrote, “Extended a warm welcome to Hon’ble President, Smt. Droupadi Murmu Ji, on her arrival at Srinagar Airport.”.

 

President Murmu will grace the 20th convocation of the University of Kashmir in Srinagar, where she will be the esteemed chief guest. The function will be also attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.President Murmu’s itinerary includes engaging with local tribal groups and women Self Help Groups at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar, fostering community interactions. Later in the day, a civic reception in her honour will be hosted at the Raj Bhavan.On October 12, President Murmu will make her way to the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. There, she will inaugurate the newly remodeled Parvati Bhavan and the skywalk, marking a significant occasion at this sacred site.
