Anantnag: A bear was captured alive after much ado in South Kashmir’s Anantnag village.

The Wildlife Department said that a bear that allegedly had been troubling villagers of Nowpora Dooru village has been captured.

The villagers heaved a sigh of relief after the forest officers were successful in capturing the animal from a field.

“This bear was spotted at multiple locations for the past several days and since then an operation has been in progress to capture it,” said an official advising villagers not to go alone to secluded places near forest areas.
