Baramulla,: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Wussan Kunzer & Kulhama Tangmarg, the Baramulla Police on Wednesday seized two tippers and two tractors besides arresting four drivers.
The Police initiated the action under the supervision of Sh Ashfaq Alam – JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspector Waseem Jahangir, SHO PS Tangmarg.The police seized 2 Tippers & arrested 2 drivers namely Gulzar Ahmad Tantray son of Bashir Ahmad & Parvaiz Ahmad Shah son of Gh Nabi both residents of Gonipora at Kulhama Tangmarg.Similarly, the Police under the supervision of Sh Ashfaq Alam-JKPS SDPO Tangmarg assisted by Inspector Waseem Jahangir SHO PS Kunzer seized 2 Tractors & arrested 2 drivers namely Ab Majeed Bhat son of Gh Ahmad & Firdous Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Akbar both residents of Wussan Kunzer at Wussan Kunzer.
The drivers alongwith their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals and accordingly FIRs under relevant sections of law were registered in Police Station Kunzer & Tangmarg against them and investigations taken up.
