Ganderbal: On 22 Sep,2023, Police Station Lar received a written complaint from Mohammad Iqbal Thekri S/O Makhan Thekri R/O Kathua A/P Yangoora Lar stating therein that some days before during the night hours some unknown thieves trespassed into his cowshed and stolen livestock 16 Sheeps worth lacs.

 

In this regard, Case FIR No. 55/2023, under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Lar and further course of investigation was set into motion.

 

Further, on the directions of SSP Ganderbalย  Nikhil Borkar-IPS, a Special Police team was constituted under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Gh Hassan-JKPS lead by SHO PS Lar Inspector Khursheed Awan. After strenuous efforts and with the help of technical inputs, the Police Party apprehended Four Persons Namely Mudasir Ahmad Dar S/O Gh Rasool Dar R/O Ari Goripora Kangan, Shabir Ahmad Mir S/O Ab Khaliq Mir R/O Ari Goripora Kangan, Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir S/O Ab Rashid Mir R/O Ari Goripora Kangan and Riyaz Ahmadย  Damiyal S/O Mohd Shafi Damiyal R/O Gund Aku

 

Meanwhile, during interrogation, the aforementioned accused persons confessed that they had committed the crime & on their disclosure, all 16 sheep (Male/Female & Big/Small) recovered and the accused persons were taken into Police Custody.

 

The locals have hailed and appreciated the efforts of Ganderbal Police for Swift action in solving the theft case within two weeks only. The General Public is requested to co-operate with J&K Police & share inputs of Burglars/Thieves present in the society so that they can be nabbed effectively & crime-free Ganderbal shall be formed.
