DC Ganderbal reviews arrangements for Swachhta Pakhwada

Ganderbal : In view of Ek Tareekh, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ campaign under Swachhta Pakhwada to be held on October 1st in all the panchayats across the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements.

At the outset, District Panchayat Officer briefed the meeting about the activities to be carried under the campaign and necessary instructions were issued to concerned departments regarding the arrangements to be put in place for successful conduct of the event.

The DC instructed the BDOs to organize mega swachhta drives in their areas during the campaign.

Line departments were instructed to identify the venues in consultation with concerned PRIs for conducting of events at every Panchayat and ensure that maximum participation.

Municipal Council Ganderbal was directed to identity locations in all wards for conducting of the event in coordination with the Block Development Offices.

All departments have been directed to conduct the event smoothly and ensure that every event should be herbage free event.

 The RDD was directed to ensure that the sanitation vehicles should be deputed at every identified location for collection of garbage.

Instructions were also given to involve people to contribute in the campaign to inculcate in them the spirit of preserving the environment by maintaining cleanliness of roads, parks, rivers, schools and other public places in the district.

The meeting was attended by ACR, Programme Officer ICDS, Tehsildars, DPO, DFO Sindh Forest Division, CHO, BDOs and other officials.
