MeT Predicts More Rains in J&K; Rules Out Major Rain, Snowfall

Srinagar: The Meteorological Center Srinagar on Monday predicted more rains at isolated places of J&K till the end of this month and excluded chances of the precipitation on 27th and 28th September.

As per the news agency CNS, an official from the MeT Centre in its latest weather update said that the rain would likely occur in Jammu and Kashmir’s isolated places tomorrow (26th September) and ruled out any chance of rain on Wednesday and Thursday (27th and 28th September).

It was further said that many places of the UT would probably witness rain on 29th and 30th of this month i.e. Friday and Saturday. “Overall, there is no forecast of any major rain/snowfall for next one week,” said the weatherman.

Regarding the prevalent weather conditions in J&K, it was said that the light rain would occur at scattered places of Kashmir and isolated places of Jammu region.

During the past 24 hours, widespread light to moderate rain with snowfall over higher reaches of Kashmir was observed and light rain at isolated places of Jammu, the official added in the weather update.
