Srinagar: A motorcyclist died on Saturday morning in south Kashmir Anantnag district’s Ranipora area in a road mishap.

Police told the news agency CNS that the biker lost his life after the motorcycle, bearing registration number JK03L 2359, skidded off the road due to purported loss of control over it.

Following the incident, the passersby lent a helping hand in shifting the injured to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

The deceased has been identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Kuchay son of Ghulam Mohammad Kuchay, they said.

Meanwhile, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case in this regard.
