 Altaf Bukhari expresses satisfaction over the long-awaited release of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq

Extends gratitude to the union home minister, LG

Srinagar: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, expressed his utmost satisfaction on Friday over the release of prominent political and religious leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. He extended his thanks to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and J&K’s Lieutenant Governor (LG) for the move.

In his statement, Altaf Bukhari said, “I am deeply gratified and delighted by the release of Mirwaiz Sahib. His release has brought a collective sigh of relief among the masses, especially his devoted followers.”

He added, “I firmly believe that Mirwaiz Sahib’s release will mark the beginning of a new era characterized by peace and harmony in the region of Jammu and Kashmir, which has endured suffering for quite a long time.”

Extending his thanks to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and LG Manoj Sinha for their decision to respect the long-standing demand for the release of Mirwaiz,  Bukhari said, “On this significant occasion, I wish to express my gratitude to Home Minister Amit Shah Ji and LG Manoj Sinha Ji for their commendable decision. And, I hope the government will also consider the release of all the detainees to give them a chance to restart their normal lives with their families.”
