Thieves Break Into Electronic Complex in Kulgam, Items Worth Crores Stolen

Srinagar : An electronic complex was allegedly broken into by thieves on an intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in a Srandoo village of Qaimoh block in south Kashmir Kulgam district and have stolen items worth crores of rupees from it.

Owner of the complex, Ghulam Mohammad Srandoo, told the news agency CNS that the incident took place last night and the thieves, after breaking into his shop, Galaxy Electronic, stole items including batteries, inverters, solar panels, lamps, wires etc.

The owner said that the initial estimation of loss incurred in the incident is in crores of rupees. “This seems to have been a well-orchestrated theft and the goods have been likely stolen by using trucks as such quantity could not have been ferried in a small vehicle. Stolen items include expensive electronic items. I hope that the police will soon apprehend the thieves involved in the theft,” he added.

Following the incident, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter and registered a case in this regard, with investigation taken up.
