Summer Festival 2023:  Massive Public participation witnessed at Ladu Ladoora Rafiabad

Initiatives being taken to promote Eco-tourism, opening up new Economic avenues through Tourism in B’la: asserts Dr Syed Sehrish

Baramulla: In a bid to explore and promote tourism in hitherto unexplored tourist destinations, a grand day long summer festival was today celebrated in Ladu Ladoora Rafiabad of Baramulla district organized by the District Administration Baramulla.

The event witnessed a huge gathering of people with enthusiastic participation of students and other stakeholders from across the district.

At the outset,  the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar paid inspection of stalls installed by various departments to showcase varied information and services for the general people.

During the festival, a colorful and spectacular cultural performances were showcased mesmerizing the participants.

The festival evoked tremendous response from not only the locals of the area but from adventure lovers as well.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sehrish said that Ladu Ladoora is emerging as one of the known tourist destinations in Baramulla besides asserted that initiatives will be taken to promote Ladu Ladoora as famous tourist destinations so as to  create opportunities of employment for local youth.

Having huge potential to attract tourists, the DC assured that the necessary infrastructure will be developed in Ladu Ladoora to boost the eco tourism in the region.

Meanwhile, the locals including prominent PRIs were jubilant and lauded the District Administration for organizing a first of its kind summer festival in Ladu Ladoora Rafiabad.

Earlier, Dr Sehrish in presence of DDC Member Rohama laid the foundation stone of Nature Park Ladua in Rafiabad. The DC asserted for upgradation of infrastructure to boost eco-tourism in the region.

 SSP Sopore Shabir Nawab, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla,  Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad other districts officers besides other Officers and officials were present at the venue.
