5.6-magnitude quake hits 5 km E of Kandrian, Papua New Guinea: USGS

New York: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted 5 km E of Kandrian, Papua New Guinea, at 19:58:44 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 62.2 km, was initially determined to be at 6.20 degrees south latitude and 149.60 degrees east longitude.
