Sarpanch affiliated with NC, dies, suspected Heart attack in Shopian

Srinagar:A sarpanch of the National Conference died of a suspected heart attack here in Chitragam Kalan village of South Kashmir’s Shopian on Thursday morning, sources said.

Reliable sources told the news agency that a sarpanch affiliated with the National Conference, identified as Ab. Rashid Mir, son of Sana-Ullah Mir, a resident of Chitragam Kalan, suffered a heart attack here in Kalan Shopian.

They added that he was immediately referred to SDH Zainapora Shopian, where doctors declared him dead.

Meanwhile, “police have taken cognizance of the incident, and further investigation is on in this regard.”
