Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week: DC Gbl presides-over Awareness Workshop organized by KPDCL

Ganderbal: In view of ongoing Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today presided over the awareness workshop organized by KPDCL Division Ganderbal in the lawns of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

The camp was attended by president Municipal Council Ganderbal, SE KPDCL, Executive Engineer KPDCL Division Ganderbal besides a huge gathering of locals.

On the occasion the DC highlighted the purpose of celebrating Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week and said that various community based awareness programs are being held in the district to educate government officials and citizens about the detrimental effects of corruption and ways to combat it.

The DC said that the District Administration is committed to shift all government offices to online mode adding that online shift of services has paved the way for transparent, accountable and accessible Government to citizens besides has also ensured time-bound service delivery and redressal of grievances.

He appreciated the dedication of field staff of the KPDCL to ensure undisturbed power supply to the consumers. He also commended their role during the Yatra period.

During the workshop, the resource persons generated awareness about the negative impact of corruption, ways to combat it, awareness about online services, smart metering etc.

Many awareness camps were held in various areas of Tehsil Wakoora including Batwina, Kurhama, Batpora, Khanpora etc wherein many grievances particularly pertaining to revenue matters were resolved on-spot.
