Three books by renowned writer and Broadcaster unveiled

 

Srinagar: Three books by renowned writer and Broadcaster Abdul Ahad Farhad unveiled, within the premises of Tagore Hall.
This function was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages with the collaboration of Asian Mail Communications.
Meanwhile, the function was attended by esteemed guests, including Journalists, Poets, and Writers from various parts of Kashmir Valley.

 


Professor Shafi Shauq expressed his views on the books, At the same time noted broadcaster and writer Shamshad Kralawari expressed his views regarding naats written by Abdul Ahad Farhad.

Meanwhile, Javid Iqbal Khan welcomed the guests and briefed the audience regarding the upcoming Programs of the Cultural Academy. Later the event was presided over by G R Hasrat Gadda, Prominent Urologist Dr Saleem Wani was Guest of Honour, Syed Muzaffar Kashani and Farooq Anwar Mirza in-charge officer of Cultural Academy were the Chief Guests in this event.


At the beginning of the ceremony, the well-known Naat Khawah of Dargah Hazratbal, Abul Hassan Farooqi, presented the Naatiya Kalam of Abdul Ahad Farhad. After that, well-known folk singer Abdul Ghaffar Kanhami entertained the audience by performing the Ghazals of Abdul Ahad Farhad.
Speakers appreciated the efforts of Abdul Ahad Farhad in bringing an insightful and valuable contribution to Kashmiri and Urdu Literature. Rashid Rahil, Editor-In-Chief of Asian Mail Communications concluded the event by giving a vote of thanks to the audience.
