Man Dies of Burn Injuries, Family Alleges Foul Play

Srinagar: A 70-year-old man hailing from the Pathan Morah area of Rajouri died after suffering from critical burn injuries. The relatives of the deceased have alleged that the man was killed by his neighbours over a land dispute.

Quoting officials, KS reported that the deceased has been identified as Sain Dass (70), son of Tola Ram, a resident of Pathan Morha. He was a retired employee of Mechanical Engineering Services (MES). “He suffered critical burn injuries on Sunday late evening amid mysterious conditions after which he was taken to GMC Associated Hospital Rajouri  where doctors declared him dead.”

“The family members of the deceased protested outside the hospital premises and demanded a fair, impartial investigation and immediate arrest of the accused,” officials said.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation has been taken up.
