Mumbai: The rupee continued to surge on Thursday too, as it rallied 25 paise at 82.46 against USD in opening trade on brisk selling of US dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at Foreign Exchange said.

The local unit remained robust against other world currencies amid a strong opening in the stock market.

The rupee recorded intraday highs and lows at 82.35 and 82.52, respectively, the dealer added.
