Ganderbal: A mega awareness rally against drug abuse was conducted today at Tullamulla with the aim to raise awareness about ill effects of drugs among the general public.
The rally witnessed the participation of PRIs, Students, local youth and Civil society members carrying placards with messages about the disastrous effect of drugs on individual and society’s health.
Tehsildar Tullamulla expressed concern over the rising drug addiction cases and stressed the need to raise awareness among people against drugs and urged the youth to join hand with the district administration and Police to eradicate drug menace from the district.
Later, wild cannabis destruction drive was also carried out during which wild bhung was destroyed along the road side.
