Equal Opportunities of Play and Recreation for the youth of far-flung areas is the topmost priority of the present Government: Chhibber

Kishtwar: Director Youth Services and Sports J&K Subash C Chhibber and Special Secretary to Government Youth Services and Sports Department J&K Naresh Kumar on their two-day visit to Kishtwar’s far-off district were warmly welcomed and greeted by the field staff of YS&S and locals of the area. Staff members of Sports Zone Kishtwar, Nagseni, and Darbshalla had gathered in huge numbers at District Youth Services and Sports Office Kishtwar.

Later a meeting of the District-based employees of the Department was chaired by Director YS&S. Different issues pertaining to the conduct of Sports activities in different sports zones of the far-flung district were shared with the chair. Director assured the employees that the Department will consider addressing their genuine demands in time bound manner. He however stressed that the maximum participation of Youth in games and recreational activities should be ensured.

“Providing equal opportunities of play and recreation to the youth of even the remotest areas of the Union Territory is the top most priority of the present Government and it’s heartening to see the sporty infrastructure of high class is being created by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K in such hilly areas “ he added.
Both the senior officers also visited the newly constructed Volleyball court at Govt. Girls HSS Kishtwar.
Previously on the first day of the visit employees of the Department who are discharging their duties in the Sports Zone of Padder and Inderwal received the visiting officers at TRC Mugalmadan.
DYSSO Kishtwar Kharati Lal Sharma escorted the HOD and another officer of the Department to different places and Sports facilities in the Kishtwar.
