IG BSF Jammu Frontier D K Boora unfurled the National Flag

Jammu: BSF School Jammu celebrated 77th Independence Day with great patriotic fervor, zeal and exhilaration in its premises. IG BSF Jammu FTR D. K. Boora was the Chief Guest  on the occasion. DIG/PSO  Vijay Kumar Thapliyal, DIG Prov./ Administrator Sh Prabhakar Joshi and other officers of the Force were also present on the occasion. IG BSF Jammu Frontier D K Boora unfurled the National Flag and all in unison sang the melodious strains of the National Anthem which charged up the atmosphere with patriotic spirit.
Principal Dr S.K Shukla, in his address,stressed upon being highly responsible citizens of India to lead and safeguard this democratic and secular nation. Students presented a series of cultural programme related to India’s Independence. It included Group Dances, Poem Recitation and Patriotic group song. The Chairman of the schoolD K Boora felicitated   Inter Zone Basketball U-17 2nd Position winners.Cash Prize of Rs 25,000 was also given to the students who participated in the Independence Day Celebration.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest D K Boora remarked that the real purpose of education is self-actualization. He inspired the young minds to contribute positively to the growth and progress of the nation. He also  applauded the excellent performance of the students. The programme culminated with the distribution of sweets among the students.
