District Information Centre, Cultural Unit Kashmir of DIPR organize Nukad Natak at GDC Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Aug 3: As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and in connection with recently launched ‘Meri Maati Mera  Desh’ campaign, the District Information Centre (DIC) Ganderbal in collaboration with Cultural Unit Kashmir of Department of Information and Public Relations today organized Nukad Natak at Govt Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal.

The programme was attended by Principal Govt College Ganderbal, Fouzia Fatima as the chief guest, District Information Officer (DIO) Ganderbal, officials of DIC Ganderbal, faculty members of GDC, local intellectuals, media persons and students of the college.

Well-known artists of Kashmir Valley performed cultural items and Nukad Natak regarding socials evils including drug abuse and raised awareness on making society clean from drugs and other narcotics.

The artists tried to explain to the children through their live performances how to save the society from drugs and other social evils.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal GDC appreciated the initiative of DIC Ganderbal for organizing such live show and said that the fight against social evils especially narcotics is the need of the hour.

The DIO Ganderbal also spoke on the occasion and thanked the College management for their support in organizing the program and maintained that more such theme based programs shall be organized under the banner of ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’.
