ADP: DC B’la inaugurates ‘Teacher Informatics Center cum Digital Studio/ Lab’

Rs. 60 lacs Unique Project to help students with least resources via Digital Platform: Dr Sehrish

Baramulla, Aug 3: In a bid to transform the experience of learning through digital technology and multimedia, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today inaugurated first of its kind in J&K ‘Teacher Informatics Center cum Digital Studio/ Lab’ under Aspirational District Programme at Mini Secretariat, Baramulla.

The Digital Studio accomplished with a cost of Rs. 60 lacs will help students of far flung areas in making up the deficiency of the requisite resources arising due to the non availability of the faculties.

After inaugurating the project, Dr Sehrish highlighted the significance of Teacher Informatics Center cum Digital Studio and said that the project is the first of its kind in Jammu and Kashmir to help the students in learning through digital platform.

Dr Sehrish asserted that the purpose of this innovative project is to give access to those students who are left with the lectures and through this platform, students can avail the benefits of recorded lectures by the best and motivational faculties. She also added that the second phase of the project will give access to the students via mobile phones wherein they will get live streaming of all the subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Commerce and other subjects.

On the occasion, the DC also informed that for Teacher Learning Process, a separate Sessions will be organised to impart training to the Teachers so that the aim of the programme is achieved.

Meanwhile, the DC also interacted with various schools virtually through this digital platform.

Moreover, the DC informed that various initiatives will be taken for further streamlining of the Digital Studio wherein resourceful facilities across the district will create learning resources available for the students.

Joint Director Planning, M.Yousuf Rather; Chief Education Officer Baramulla, Balbir Singh Raina and other concerned officers and officials were present at the event.
